India Cricket Team: Twenty20 World Cup 2010

Indian Cricket selectors announced 15 man squad for forthcoming Twenty20 World Cup 2010 championship tournament to be started from 30th April 2010. Following his poor performance with the ball, fast bowler Ishant Sharma could not find his place in the team. He is replaced by R. Vinay Kumar who is currently playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore IPL Cricket Team. Selectors have also dropped middle order batsman Virat Kohli. Among the others who could not find the place in the team are R. P. Singh and Pragyan Ojha, they have been replaced by Ashish Nehra and Piyush Chawla.

IPL Cricket 2010- Winners and Looser of the First Week

The first week of IPL 2010 spanning from 12th March to 18th March 2010, 10 Twenty20 Cricket matches have been played. Mumbai Indians stood first in the point table with winning both of their games. Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab yet to open winning account. Rajasthan Royals the winner of the inaugural IPL tournament in 2009 have lost all the three games they played so far. Sachin Tendulkar Becomes First to Score 200 Runs in ODI

Playing his 442nd ODI match, Sachin Tendulkar becomes the first batsman to score 200 runs in one day international Cricket. This was the 2962nd ODI match in Cricket history, yet no one scored double hundred before this. The previous highest record was 194 runs shared by Pakistan's Saeed Anwar and Zimbabwe's Charles Coventry.

It took 147 balls to reach the milestone of 200 runs. His previous best was unbeaten 183 against New Zealand in 1999. This was flawless hitting by him including 25 boundaries and 3 sixers and it helps India reach massive total of 401/3 in 50 overs.

He also hold record of total career runs for both test and one day cricket. He scored 17598 runs in 442 ODIs with an average of 45.12 and made 13447 runs in his test career in 166 matches with an average of 55.56.

South Africa Cricket Tour of India 2010

South Africa to tour India in February 2010. In this Cricket tour, South Africa will play two test matches and three one day internationals. The first of the tests will start from February 6 and will be played at Nagpur. The other test match will be played in Kolkata from Feb. 14 to Feb. 18. Then there will be three one day internationals to be played on 21, 24 and 27th of February 2010 at Jaipur, Kanpur and Ahmedabad respectively.

South Africa Test Cricket Team:

Following poor performance in the recent series against the England, Makhaya Ntini has been dropped from the test team. F. de Wet is the other player who have been dropped from the team. They are replaced by fast bowler Lonwabo Tsotsobe and spinner Johan Botha.

Sri Lanka Cricket Team- Tri Series Cricket 2010

Sri Lanka Cricket Team for the forthcoming Tri Series Cricket 2010 has been announced.

Jayasuriya, all rounder and the most experienced player, has been dropped from the team following his poor display in India. So far he was part of Sri Lanka cricket team for 444 ODIs and he made 11825 runs.

Chamara Kapugedara, Lasith Malinga, Ajantha Mendis are the other players, who were the part of latest India tour, also been dropped for this tri series to be played in Bangladesh.

The other players not selected in the team due to injury are Mahela Jayawardene, Angelo Mathews, Muttiah Muralitharan and Dilhara Fernando. They have been replaced by Chamara Silva, Malinga Bandara, Lahiru Thirimanne, Thilan Thushara.

Sri Lanka lost their latest ODI series against India by 1-3.
